It's October - finally! It really is my favorite month. I hope heaven is a neverending fall day.

Don't you just love stitching when the weather gets cool and the nights start getting longer? I was definitely in a stitching slump, but the start of fall seems to have helped change that. Market probably helped that slump along, too. It's always exciting to see the new designs and I've added quite a bit to my list, although I have plenty now that I really like and want to stitch without any additions!

Halloween stitching is Jenny Bean's Halloween. I love the names of the threads that came in the kit - Burial Ground, Dried Blood, Swampwater. It's been fun to stitch so far. Cooper the Bandit stole those threads from my WIP basket and chewed up most of the thread tags. I think I've sorted out and relabeled the colors, but if my piece turns out a little different colorwise you will know why ....

Here is my progress on KFL. I like this design a lot, though I almost get tired of the slightly drab colors. Then I go blog browsing and look at other stitcher's finished pieces and I'm inspired to keep going.

Cooper is in school now. The first night he was absolutely the wild child of the class. I believe he thought it was a big party, and his lab puppiness was definitely showing. The other dogs just looked at him and growled. No one really believed that he does know sit, down and stay, but in the end we all survived the first class and I'm relieved to report that he did very well during the second class, impressing everyone with his repertoire . Cheese treats helped alot ...

Cooper

That's it for now. I hope you all have a glorious weekend!

I love your WIPs! They're both so pretty! I think the Jenny Bean Halloween packet was supposed to be arranged in order so the names would correspond to the colors inside. Or so I've heard.

Cooper is adorable!! Hope you two have fun in school!

PS So sorry about the lack of discipline shown in my post, but this laptop is doing strange things...and the comments don't look the same, after I post them, oh dear!!

Cooper is sooooo sweet! I *almost* can't believe that adorable face is the same one that likes to chomp on thread tags. ;) If it's any consolation, I have been working on my JB and can't decide on what a few of the threads are supposed to be. I figure it adds our own artistic flair to the samplers. ;)

Your JB looks great!! Isn't this such a fun piece? I'm addicted, even if I have had to frog part of the border. I love your KFL, too. You're making great progress on it. I'm so glad that you're out of your slump. I agree--I think the cooler weather makes things more conducive to sit and stitch.

I had to laugh at Cooper's picture. I can imagine him saying "who me? A bandit?" Bubble over his head "I do like to mess with Mom though!"

Love your start on Jenny Bean Halloween - I like that design but have yet to add to my stash. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

It's nice when your favourite month comes around isn't it?

Hi Dona, love your Cooper. What a face on that boy! I've resisted the Jenny Bean's, but it's fun to see others.
Now KFL is in my "must stitch" basket for sure. I love anything by Brenda Keyes. Yours is looking great.

Cooper has a look that reminds me a bit of Rigby when he was younger. ;)

LOVE your stitching. I'm all for drab colors. :D

Love your WIP's! I'm with you, even though we don't have the hottest of summers I always find my stitching tails off then. Roll round to autumn and it seems like I've got so many projects I'm itching to get started.

Love the pic of Cooper! Now, how could that sweetheart be the wild child of the class?!?!?!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment when you dropped by my blog. Now it's led me to yours and I'll definitely be back!

I just discovered your blog and am so excited to see that you're stitching "Kind, Fond, Love." I've been thinking of buying the chart, so I will be looking forward to seeing how it looks all stitched up :)

Your Cooper is a very handsome guy!!
